Southside Youth Community Hub

In partnership with the education authority, Youth Initiatives have set up a community hub in and around Pollock Glasgow.

In St Paul’s High School we are responsible for a number of different projects supporting the staff in school and helping the pupils realise their own potential and help awaken hope in them by offering different opportunities. We run 1-2-1 sessions with pupils who need that little bit of extra support. This means we track the young persons progress and set small achievable targets and we also celebrate their wins.

We also offer more traditional youth work in the form of afterschool clubs and team activities, as well as supporting with classes looking at leadership and development. One of our main areas of work is connecting with and supporting volunteers. They help us with our sessions in the school and we run Monday night outreach in the community connecting with 5 th /6 th year age pupils promoting our volunteering opportunities.
