Our Team
ANDY JORDAN
Andy is 34 years old and born and bred in Glasgow. Andy worked in disability services in Glasgow as a student and as a Youth Worker in inner city Detroit and Belfast for 2 years each. He then returned to Glasgow to complete a Masters in Community Learning and Development. In 2018 he became one of the founding members of Youth Initiatives Scotland and was subsequently appointed as CEO of the organisation. He is the proud husband of Mary Rose and father of 3 children aged 6, 5 and 3.
STEPHEN DOW
Stephen Dow leads our project in St Paul's high school in the southside of Glasgow. Having grown up in Paisley and leaving school at a young age Stephen turned his attention to youth work and quickly found something his gifts suited and he had a passion for. Now having been engaged in Youth Work for 10 years he has come to Youth Initiatives to help us establish the project in St Paul's.
STEPHEN MARR
Stephen M (sometimes called wee Stephen) completed his apprenticeship in 2021-2022. Has recently become volunteer coordinator for the northside of the city.
CHELSIROSE DONNELLY
Chelsirose D is a former pupil at All Saints who was put into a Youth Initiatives class (mostly against her will) when she was in S5. To her surprise she actually enjoyed it and worked with YI staff for the next 2 years before beginning an internship in 2021 and an apprenticeship in 2022.
DAVID FORREST
David joined the team in November 2022. He is from Michigan, USA. David helps with the administrative tasks for YI and works as youth worker predominantly based in the St. Paul's project.
GRÁINNE CAMPLISSON
Gráinne is from Belfast, Northern Ireland where she was part of Youth Initiatives NI as a young person and a volunteer. When she moved to Glasgow for university she started volunteering for YI Scotland and now works as a sessional worker with YI.
